Buddy's Crab House & Oyster Bar: A Family-Friendly Seafood Haven in Surf City

Buddy's was the coolest bar and grill with the most amazing crab legs and an even more amazing staff! All around just an awesome atmosphere for the entire family! We went every single night for our entire 7 day vacation and will definitely be going back next year..... Unless we move down here first lol! All in all Buddy's was the best place on the island and the coolest chill spot! Buddy's Crab House was a good place to eat. The food was delicious and flavorful. Coconut shrimp was a great appetizer. The place was packed, and the service was just a tad bit on the slow side but was reasonable with the crowd size. I would recommend to anyone wanting seafood.

Always wonderful, we drove an hour to have dinner here. Fish tacos were amazing, great sized peice fish. My husband tried a soft shelled crab sandwich for the first time, and he said it made no sense how good it was. The coconuts shrimp appetizer was perfect. Drinks hit the spot. Waitress was great, food came fast all around wonderful evening.

Today me and my family had the pleasure of eating here! We went for an early dinner while on vacation! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible, and the staff were very attentive! Specifically Destiny!! She was a rockstar! We had cold full drinks and all of our small requests were met! Not to mention her intention to make a connection with all of her customers! The outdoor seating is incredible right on the beach!! Overall one of the best dining experiences at the beach so far!! “That was the best fried shrimp I’ve ever had”-my mom haha!

After a beach day my family and I were looking for a spot to eat, everything seemed to close at 9pm on Sunday & Buddy’s was one of very few that was open late. We stopped for a fast and delicious dinner! Food, drinks, & service was great! We sat outside on the back deck and over all it was a great vibe! Ask for Bailey, she was great!

The shrimp tacos and fish tacos are delicious! We had the best view of the pier from the top floor and were able to share it with our dogs. Our server was quick to deliver our drinks and food, and even brought gave water to our dogs! There’s no wait for a table. Check this place out!

Great views of the ocean. Bartender was awesome. Back of house staff is horrendous though. We ordered “mega” mozzarella sticks and coconut shrimp. Shrimp was half batter and half shrimp, the “mega” mozz was the size of a tater tot…and it took 94 minutes to get the two fried appetizers out. No bueno.
